for sure trump made it more difficult but you can’t give him all the credit for people not being able to afford a place to live.
it’s up to everyone to decide for themselves if the United States is still the best place to live compared to alternatives. That’s what it always comes down to – yes the US has a lot of issues, but is there somewhere better?

I hate Trump, I think all his policies are shit and making things worse.
With that said, these polls are pretty anecdotal and i feel like Americans have been saying they arent able to afford a $1k emergency expense for like decades now. My point being, this isnt hard data unless they have a timeseries of these polls.
As I recall under the Biden administration, the metric was a $400 expense. I guess Trump has raised that ton$1000.
