Hello, thank you for reading my post. to make a long story short I am 29 years old have a family of five have a stay at home mom wife. My family is absolutely extraordinary, and I drive myself to be able to provide the means for any life decisions that they make. Currently, I work two full-time jobs right around 90 hours a week and I have done this for a ride around 9 years. Right after My Daughter was born I fell into the mindset of how important my family’s financial growth was but having kids at a young age being that I was 20 years old and hadn’t started anything at that time I’ve fallen into the work as hard as you can as much as you can lifestyle. I currently make acceptable wages at both jobs that I carry, but I am ready to step that up and work a little smarter rather than harder. I have a lot of goals and aspirations for not only myself, but my family as well.
So here are some basic details.
I currently make right around 54,000 working as a lead at Walmart and will probably promote within the next six months to eight months which does have potential of $15,000 growth. One issue here as I love one being outdoors, being able to have large value stuff if this makes sense. I like to have the high impact on people, but I don’t absolutely hate the Walmart thing either as it is extremely easy and has a longevity factor playing into it.
My actual career path that I have chosen, but I’m second-guessing although I love it is running a landscape company. Right now I make Wright around 62,000 but I did recently take a pay cut walking away from leading another company where I was sitting at 81,000 so I know that there is more potential as well as The owner has stated multiple times that he wants me to have the company as he’s getting ready to move forward. But I recently put in seven years for another individual and promoted growth of his company from 200,000 to 2.9 million and continued growth for 5 years. I have also had quite a bit higher opportunities right around the hundred thousand dollar area but most of these positions don’t have much growth thereafter.
In an ideal world, my own company doing lawn and landscape I would love but having to keep the income for the family and everything else doesn’t really leave me a whole bunch of room to save as much as I would like. We live in a resort community and we are really working on buying our own house.
I have a direct focus on continuing to grow my income, and I know that it seems a little ridiculous to some people, but I truthfully cannot just give up on my goals and at this point, I don’t have anybody around me they can give me real advice so I don’t Know my steps moving forward, and that is why I’m here asking a bunch of random people I will never meet.
One thing about me is I don’t care what it takes. I have to create something more for my family for those around me for my community, but I do know that I can’t keep physically working as many hours as I do as well as the inability to see my family as much as I would like. So at this point, I need advice.
Almost 30, Searching for next steps in Career and financial growth.

Sounds like owning a landscape company is your dream, you’re already good at it, and it has almost uncapped earning potential.
If I was you, I’d leave Walmart and use the extra time to do your own landscaping on the side. Just start small (try to replace the Walmart salary) and work your way up.
