My child just graduated college and is moving home until finalizing job/grad school plans. His grandfather agreed to stop driving (Yay, 84 yrs old) and give my son his car.
If we title the car in his name, would we be able to add it to my/wife's insurance policy? Or should we title it under our name and just have him as a driver.
A new 22 y.o. male car insurance policy is likely expensive, but I suspect transferring the title twice might also have cost implications, when he moves out.
Child living at home on my insurance with car titled to him?

should be fine titled to him on your policy but just let the insurance agent know that it will be titled to him.
We have vehicles under my name and under my husbands. The insurance is in my name. Doesn’t matter if you live in the same place. Actually we have to have everyone that drives that lives with us listed on our plan.
