If you think that's bad In New York one dozen jumbo eggs cost $5.49 When they used to cost $2.25.. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be hard for somebody to plunk down almost $3000 for 1/10 of a bitcoin. The 2nd black rock said that their customers are not interested in bitcoin I bought more. Then they said they were dabbling in it I emptied my paycheck.

Love ya TMI, but sometimes your blinders are really fastened on tight. The Blackrock partnership, AFAIK, is about transacting with crypto, NOT “just buying bitcoin”. A transaction can mean buying, and it might buy bitcoin, but it can also SELL and it can buy/sell any crypto on Coinbase Prime. Coinbase makes money whether someone buys OR sells, so this partnership is a boom for Coinbase because now a bajillion dollars is opened up to transact with crypto. You mentioned Blackrock maybe bought a bunch of bitcoin in 2018 and 2019 – well maybe they want to sell? Coinbase would make money on that and bitcoin price would fall. THAT is why bitcoin price and COIN stock price is so different

Not that you'll see this but Coinbase opened staking to pro members more than a few months ago, at least for a little while. There was a window around a month or two ago where all pro members could sign up. I only know this because I have had my Eth staked now. It's earning poop % at the moment though, 3.25% but it changes a lot cause I've seen it up to 5 or 6% before.

It makes sense<, BTC and crypto is off helping to regulate, rather than pretend it won't ever happen. The big institutions getting in is the catalyst that will launch us into the stratosphere. Most people don't like change but after the change is made they grow used to it and it becomes a non issue usually because their fears never materialize. And benefits they were unaware with before turn out to be far more beneficial. Few if any rug pulls. The projects that initiated the process of regulation have not been ruined, they got involved in setting guidelines and helping the regulators understand the crypto space. I’d get involved more knowing that I have made over 16` btc from day-trade with Gerard McDonald Crypto in few weeks.
The Blackrock partnership with Coinbase is only going to increase the adoption of Bitcoin by institutional investors. Be beware that Blackrock also dances about the idea of ESG standards.
