Speaking at an economic forum in Vladivostok in Russia’s far east, the president said Russia ‘will not supply anything at all if it contradicts our interests … We will not supply gas, oil, coal, heating oil – we will not supply anything’.

Putin also claims the developing world has been ‘cheated’ by a landmark grain deal designed to alleviate a food crisis.

    1. I mean europe only has a few oil suppliers apart from Russia to pick from. It is doubtful that Saudi arabia has the capacity or the will to replace Russia as Europe's oil supplier. The other west Asian nations aren't fond of western policies either. It seems like the EU has to face its mistake and give points to Putin at the negotiation table. Otherwise Europe will enter the time machine back to the stone age.

    2. If you are hungry, come to 🇷🇺- we have plenty of food! If you are thirsty, come to 🇷🇺 – we have plenty of drinking water! If you want to do agriculture, come to 🇷🇺 – we have plenty of fertiliser! If you want to produce jet engines, missiles, spacecrafts, various medical products, mobile phones and microchips, come to 🇷🇺 – we have plenty of titanium, neon gas and metal palladium! If you want to drive your car on asphalt, wash yourself with a soap and use more than 6000 items made from petroleum waste by-products, come to 🇷🇺 – we have plenty of oil. If you don't want to worry about heating, cooking and electricity generation, come to 🇷🇺 – we have plenty of natural gas! We need you G7, but you and the rest of the world need us even more!

    3. Russian here.
I don't care about the energy crisis in the West as there's a deflation and stronger ruble, but I can confirm that the West, at least the UK, are cheating people in developing countries. I payed the UK $132 for the shortest tourist visa and they went as low as to fudge what I stated in my application – like I'd applied to stay 40 days and they lied as if I wrote 7, I stated tourism and pleasure as my goals and they lied as if I stated research!!! Etc… I've never in my life expected such hooligans's behsviour from a western country that calls itself a democracy and prouds on the rule of law.

    4. Most people are currently feeling the pain everywhere as a direct or indirect result of the invasion. However, a cut of supply from russia is manageable. There is sufficient bandwith in terms of technology and logistics to deal with such an eventuality. Supplies will be re-established and suppy lines will have to be created. It is a challenging prospect, but not an unsurmountable one. Enough has been compromised already. It is intriguing and perplexing seeing mr. putin so exasperated about the decision to put a cap on the price of oil. Perhaps, cause and effect relationships are becoming evident.

    5. RUSSIAN RUBLE IS TOILET PAPER. ONLY PUTIN DENIES THAT. WHEN HE NEEDS ESSENTIAL WAR MATERIEL FROM FOREIGN MARKETS HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO IGNORE THAT REALITY OF ECONOMIC WARFARE. NO ONE TAKES HIS PAPER. SO WHERE'S THE GOLD?

    6. If there ever happens to be a nuclear disaster, you can say goodbye to fresh water, marine life, wildlife, plant life, then eventually all human life because the entire planet and human life depend on the natural ecological elements

    7. If Europeans are colonialists, what are Russians ? Saints stealing gold from Sudan?
Russians have been steeling the land of other races and cultures for centuries to date. In the end, all of this is for resources and power by force over the globe.
They love to criticize the west, when in reality they feed on the west, have done and do worse things than the west.

    8. Somebody, who kills innocent children in Ukraine is concerned about the worlds footage and economy…this is so ridicoulos….He is not interested to end the war, the bigger the crisis the better for him and his criminal friends who steal the money from their own russian people.
