my only investment into crypto this year was a 1000$ into sol between 28 & 30$. Ive held off all year. Im 30% down and feel gutted. But i made a lot in 2021, but made a point of not investing a penny on the way down from the top. I thought 25$ sol could well have been the low, i was obviously wrong, but got plenty of dry powder to scoop the bottom low up… no reason to keep throwing money in atm, people do it because the like spending money, its harder to wait than to invest

I agree. I do think we need some regulation. Crypto exchanges are in a prime position to manipulate the markets to their own benefit. There’s a certain element of trust with exchanges that they are feeding us true information. However, money, corrupts and there is no reason to think exchanges are honest. Time has proven that they are not to be blindly trusted.
As part of any diversified strategy you should have PART of your investment holding in a tax-advantaged account. If you only do 5k a year in investing, put a quarter into Itrust and 75% into your wallet.
This allows you to contribute the remaining amount of your Roth into equities, which are regulated and safer.
