Great video, Romania and Moldova is getting closer and closer from state and private companie initiatives. Now Moldova have national romanian language, in the future wil hear major events in independence of Moldova. They will not unite because of dangerous precedent (опасный прецедент) in the region. Romania is helping Moldova in energy sector. If an coruption incident is happening Moldovian must act ASAP to keep the good path that is sailing.

Moldova is a poor country but this is not a co8ntry where the misery is widesdread. Moldovan people are quiet people with a lot a civility. Their economy is 'surreal'' because it import much more that it export and they can keep going like this because money from moldovans working outside, maily EU countries keep flooding back to Moldova. Moldova is also very dependant on Russia for it's gas and petroleum consumption. Still Moldova have a nice future in front of her, despite it's problems. I would give the price for the worse economy in Europe to Albanai instead and Roumania and Bulgaria would ne be far behind.

As a Moldovan, the portrayed current economic state of Moldova is blown out of proportion.

Most people make ends meet, just like in any other capitalist society. If both husband and wife work, they're probably living comfortably.

You can bararely see real poverty unless you go to remote villages where people have to live of their own land because there aren't any jobs nearing their villages. Another class of people that are struggling are the elderly, that were cheated out of their pensions, as tens of years of labour under the communist regime are not accounted for, so they get the minimum state allowance + compensation for the couple of years they got to work after regaining independence.

Over the last couple of years the Capital of Chișinău has really turned into a beautiful, almost European level city with sound infrastructures. Roads (which were always our biggest problem) were repaired, public transport is better than ever, more and more businesses are thriving.

You will not see as many luxury cars in Manchester as you do in Chișinău, and some might say it's only corrupt politicians that can't afford them, but take a reality check guys, there are a lot of great businessmen in Moldova, the problem lies within the rotten fiscal system which allows for easy tax evasion.

That's also why the GDP is so low, nobody here states their true revenue, and I'm telling you this first hand, as a marketing agency owner, where I deal with people that take home over a million a year with dental clinics/beauty salons etc, but because they collect payments cash, they might only declare 10% of their actual revenue, with virtually no consequences.

Don't be fooled, Moldova is a country of great opportunities, the evidence just isn't on paper, yet.

A better tax code would put so much more money into the buget that the country could radically change within a couple of years.

This is exaggerated, Moldova is much more better than it’s been portrayed here. Haven lived there, Yes there is poverty but there also a lot of prosperity too. Many Moldovans are doing very well for themselves!
