It probably wouldn’t reduce theft totally but is there any practicality in being able to plug the car into the charger rather than the charger into the car? At least a whole charging station wouldn’t be taken down rather a vehicle owner would lose their cable. There’s no employee watching the charging station overnight but if a car owner is charging at a station more likely during daytime it will be semi monitored. I don’t want to shift the responsibility but there must be a solution. Or better anti theft design measures.
so i guess you shouldn’t use AC window units either, right?
The same thieves that drill a hole in your gas tank and drain off your gas? Costing not only the price of a tank of gas but a new fuel tank too?
They’re probably counting on the police not being interested in apprehending them.
Yeah, no crime ever happens at gas stations. 🙄
And FFS, EV drivers do 90+% of their charging at HOME.
