Benjamin Schmitt describes how the Russian government uses Gazprom, a Russian-owned natural gas company, and natural gas pipeline projects such as Nord Stream 2 that runs from St. Petersburg under the Baltic Sea to Germany to affect global security, particularly in Europe and North America.
