I'm planning to change from SAVE to old IBR. I have loans from 2006 that I consolidated in 2020.
The simulator on the FSA site is only showing new IBR results. If I apply for IBR and they accidentally put me in new IBR will I be expected to repay the difference eventually? If they realize I'm supposed to be in old IBR one day
I'm planning to go for PSLF so just trying to predict future problems.

If you have older loans they won’t put you on new IBR; you aren’t eligible for it. Its a known glitch with the simulator if you have consolidated after 2014
