I didn't buy onion since mid April and I still have a lot of onion that will probably last till November.

    Harvested about 60lbs of onion.

Never bought parsely since march.i use it every week.

I love eggplant, one pound cost about $2 and I planted 6 eggplants. I harvest about 3 pounds per week. For the whole summer.

I have Thyme, rosemary, Oregano and dill that I use often and they aren't cheap and not always fresh.

I drink mint tea every day from my garden. And I dried some to be used in winter. I stopped buying herbal tea. For $4 every 20 days.

I planted pepper and then canned them. They cover a full year. Same for turnips.

A lot of tomatoes. Made a lot of tomato juice and all stored in the freezer.

    Cucumber

Peas and then again sent to the freezer to be used for the coming 12 months.

    Okra

So happy about this hobby that saves me a lot of money using my small backyard.

Last thing, all planted from seeds except onion.

    All organic šŸ˜‰

My garden saved me a lot of money.

Where do you recommend to buy seeds? I’m just starting my garden and ā€œsplurgedā€ on good soil and raised beds, but now I’m nervous to spend a ton on seeds when I don’t really know what I’m doing yet. What helped you be so successful?
Thanks from a baby frugal gardener!

Amazing. Is it possible to live a healthy lifestyle just from your garden? (Like..can’t you be satiated from just veggies )

60lbs of onions from your backyard is impressive. Bet those tomatoes taste way better than store bought too.
