I just spent $68 on items to make sandwiches from the next two weeks for work lunches. I also got chips and soda to go along with it. Hopefully it’ll last me within the next two weeks.

I haven’t had a sandwich since probably high school. So that should be quite interesting in my case.

If anyone can give me some better idea, that would be greatly appreciated……………………………………..

My idea of frugal. I honestly don’t know

So between 1 month or 70 years??

Not quite sure what you’re asking. Are you looking for some less expensive lunch ideas?

    3. I don’t eat lunch meat that is more than a week old, but making sandwiches is more frugal than ordering every day.

    4. A different idea

You should go to Walmart and buy the 16oz cans of black beans. Crack the lid drain the beans, if they haven’t been vandalized with oil the juice is good to pour in a cup and drink. Then pour the beans over 2 or 3 flour tortillas, I like the La Banderita or Guerrero brand 20 packs of tortillas, to make two or three bean tacos. Then pour some hot sauce on them, I like Tapatio(spicy) and Bontanera (mild) or try Valentina.

Walmart has good prices on their great value brand soda too

Bulk prep chicken and ground beef, along with veggies. It will go farther. Sandwich meats are expensive, and maybe not the healthiest. And chips and soda are definitely not healthy eaten daily.

Inexpensive lunch ideas: casseroles, bean and rice bowl or burrito, pasta salad (add beans for cheap protein), ramen with added frozen vegetables and a boiled egg, yogurt parfait (dessert/side), and overnight oats. Baked potatoes (you can cook potatoes in the microwave too) are cheap if you don’t use too much cheese/bacon.

Also, don’t forget the spices. Spices make cheap food taste much, much better.

    7. It would help to know what you bought.

Fresh veggies will not last two weeks, neither will deli meats like ham & chicken.

btw, you can make your own corn chips a lot cheaper by cutting up & frying corn tortillas. Season them once fried up and drained/patted dry.

I have switched to enjoying my sandwiches with a few strawberries or other small fruits. Something with a different texture.
