I used to think ironing was just part of life, even though I hated doing it and felt like it wasted time and energy. Then I tried a little trick that made me stop using my iron for most everyday clothes. If you hang wrinkled clothes in the bathroom while you shower, the steam does most of the work for you. After ten minutes the wrinkles relax and the fabric looks a lot smoother.

    1. That, or hang them and spritz them with a mister, then let them dry.

100% natural fabrics are more likely to hold wrinkles.

I haven’t ironed since the 1990s. No one but my mother has noticed or cared.

Free yourself! Don’t let the fear of being judged for wrinkles control you

If there is a wedding or funeral, I might iron my own shirt. So, I own an iron, but…I honestly can’t think of anything I wear on a regular basis that I would iron. I’ve always done blue collar labor, and none of my co-workers do either.

If I worked in an office, maybe?

    4. Dampen a washcloth, throw it in the dryer with your ~~forgotten~~ wrinkled clothes for 10 min.

If I read a tag that says Needs Ironing, I hang it back up on the rack.

I still iron because most of my clothes are cotton. I just do enough to make them presentable. If you hang dry cotton items sometimes they come out well without ironing
