Shareholders are losers as 10% is given away to the government. This is worst than 15% China’s revenue that NVDA and ADM pay.

The habitual liar keeps on lying, of course.
The government’s equity stake will be funded by the remaining $5.7 billion in grants previously awarded, but not yet paid, to Intel under the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act and $3.2 billion awarded to the company as part of the Secure Enclave program.
The $8.9 billion investment is in addition to the $2.2 billion in CHIPS grants Intel has received to date, making for a total investment of $11.1 billion.

What if this token 10% gives the US govt a seat on the Board, gives Intel a Trillion dollar backstop and limitless low interest loans, and the ability to subsidize cutting edge 2 nanometer foundry chip production, so the US can do what TSMC and other Socialist subsidizing countries have been doing for years. Also provides a future where we can maintain our Tech industry if and when China bombs Taiwan into the stone age or worse doesn’t bomb them and just takes over cheap chip production for the whole planet.
What if the Orange Peel accidentally did a very smart prescient thing ?

2. Not that he cares, but it’s this even legal?
3. How can his supporters *still* support him? Everything he does goes against everything the conservative party has been saying they stand for for as long as i can remember.
