I have a business account that takes in customer sales via tap to pay and occasionally invoice. A friend paid me for something personal recently, and I noticed I got fee'd for the transaction. That caused me to open up a personal paypal account to not have to deal with that again.

My question is, if I decide to sell a bunch of used items on platforms like eBay and receive payment for goods on my personal account (because I don't want to mix personal transactions with business sales), how does PayPal handle the issuance of 1099k? Do they provide one for each account with their own limits? Does PayPal even issue for ecommerce payments received on a personal account? Do they sum up both accounts under your social security & name and go, "business account has $18,000 in sales, and personal account sold $2,000 on eBay, so this guy gets a 1099k".

    Thanks for the insight.
