Hey everyone,

    Today I had an absolutely frustrating encounter with the IRS. I called just to get a simple document, thinking it would be straightforward…

    After 1 hour of waiting, being sent back and forth, and getting completely lost in different departments, I finally got the agent on the line.

    And then… they cut me off mid-sentence, yelled at me a bit, and worst of all—I still haven’t received the document, even 4 days later. 😤

    Has anyone else ever been treated like this by an IRS agent? Share your WTF or nightmare stories—funny, frustrating, or just plain insane!

    1. Yes, many times. Been cut off, hung up on, thrown through endless loops of “your not in the right department let me transfer you” and then back to that same department I got transferred from. And you get put back in the waiting line when transferred. I have had some very great people but it is far and few between. Your best bet is calling right a 7am when they open. May still get a bad person but you won’t have to wait nearly as long and may be connected right away
