I am short on time and am curious as to what would be the best retail tax shops to learn from?
My options are H&R, Liberty Tax, M&M Tax Services.
All three of them have their in person tax classes starting soon and H&R has an online program as well.
I am also looking at local firms but am hoping to have more than one option aligned up incase one fails.
I appreciate everyones time!

I learned by volunteering at a VITA tax prep site 10 years ago. IDK if they still offer training, but if so, it might be a good way to go. Volunteering to help people get their money feels great too! And their returns are usually pretty simple — i was 21 and could handle it, so that says a lot!
My tax career started with taking the Liberty Tax class while in undergrad and I ended up working there for 3 tax seasons. It gave me a good foundation and a pretty good leg up above my peers on the basics of individual tax prep when I started in public accounting.
Keep in mind this was 15-20 years ago, so things may have changed since.
Edit: I took my class in California where the curriculum met the requirements for CTEC licensure needed for all paid tax preparers. So, I cannot comment on how the curriculum may differ in other states.
