I'm a high schooler who recently got accepted into a paid internship, and was provided a W-9 form to fill out. But, I'm not really sure what box to check for the federal tax classification (3a and 3b) for an internship job. The options are "individual/sole proprietor, C corporation, S corporation, partnership, trust/estate, LLC, and 'other'". Please help, as this is really confusing, and thank you.
Edit: Now that I'm looking through it again, I'm not sure what q.4 is asking either, let alone what to jot down. Sorry for all the questions but I'm not familiar with this stuff at all. pls help thanks
what to put for q.3a and 3b on W-9 Request for Taxpayer form

#3a. You’ll be a sole-proprietor. #3b & #4 don’t apply.
That said, the fact that they’re having you fill out W-9 means they’re going to be paying you as a self-employed independent contractor and not a W-2 employee. Most interns would be considered employees. It may be worth asking them why they won’t be paying you as an employee. They may be misclassifying you to shift the burden of paying the employer half of SS/Medicare taxes to you instead of paying them themselves.
