Is it true that tax accountant can get tax transcript for me faster than myself

My uncle passed away. I am the PR for his estate. I need to file a 4506-T to request his wage and income transcript to do his final tax return.

I talked to a tax accountant today. He said he can request the transcript for me. He said it will only take him a few days to get IRS to respond. He said after IRS responds, he can download all the transcript information for me.

Is he correct about this time frame? Does it only take accountants a few days to obtain this information? Do accountants have special permissions? Is that why it's so fast?

I imagine if I file 4506-T myself, it will take longer to get the info. Also, if I file 4506-T myself, will IRS mail me the transcript or direct me to download from their website? Thanks.
