Looking for some advice from anyone who is familiar with the filing process.
We are filing an OIC, have everything ready to submit electronically. Already paid the fees, etc.
I need my husbands signature since we filed joint, I sent it to him yesterday to sign but he was extremely busy and couldn’t until today. The IRS tells me he has 120 to sign the form and submit it.
Well when he tried signing today, it told him because MY signature was from yesterday (a fact I couldn’t help because it forces me to sign before I send it to him) that it won’t accept my “past date signature”.
Is there any way I can resign the form? I am looking on my account online and it just gives me an option to start a new one, I can’t find the pending one anywhere.
It would make no sense to me to give us that long to have him sign just for it to reject it based on the system forcing me to sign right away.
