The deadline for my state 2024 taxes was extended to Nov 3, I prepared my taxes last week on TurboTax and went in today to submit and it is not giving the option. Wants me to purchase software. Normally it says, "pick up where u left off." What can I do to file on time?
Deadline is today but TurboTax not letting me file.

Print it out and mail it.
Find another software product that’s still “open” for electronic filing.
Or finish everything in TT, print the return, sign and date the 1040 (blue ink is best ink), and mail it in with appropriate postage.

Just because you have more time to file doesn’t mean you should wait until the last minute.
TT shut down their online software for the season.
Buy the desktop version, OR…..
Do it for free somewhere else (well, $15 state fee… but $0 federal!) – [https://freetaxusa.com](https://freetaxusa.com)
Print and mail?

Does your state have a free filing option? For example, Illinois Dept of Revenue has a free tax filing option on their website, and others are similar. You can also paper file.
If you can see the info in TurboTax, you can use it to fill out online elsewhere or to paper file. Paper filing just requires a postmark on the due date, and make sure you attach the W2 copy(ies) if you’re a W2 employee.
