Hello!

I am a natural-born Filipino citizen applying for an ITIN for employment purposes. This is my first time handling an application of this scale on my own, and I would like to clarify a few steps to ensure that I am proceeding correctly.

Based on my understanding, the required documents include the following:
    • Form W-7 (Application for IRS Individual Taxpayer Identification Number)
    • Form 1040-NR (U.S. Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return)
    • Proof of Foreign Status

Once these documents are completed and prepared, may I confirm if they should be mailed to the address provided in the instructions?

Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

    1. An ITIN is not valid for employment purposes. If you are eligible to work in the United States then you should get an SSN.
