I left my previous employer in Aug 2024. Did not receive any compensation from them in 2025. I received a W2 from the previous employer for over $5,000 wages reported for 2025. I've submitted a ticket to their HR help desk but asking the community if there's something they could be valuing as compensation that I'm not aware of? Thanks!

Your HR will have the answer here. Compensation 5+ months after you left the company is unusual.
Did you receive payment in January for work in December or PTO payout etc
