So currently my spouse and i are going through and immigration process for her to become a permanent resident in the US. We are still well in the beginning and it's going to be years before it's all settled. I am currently a US citizen and I work full time at a credit union. She on the hand does not work currently, but she does have an ITIN number as we needed it for her to be able to get a driver privilege card to drive legally in the state. I would prefer to file taxes on my own instead of taking it to someone to do it for me. Could I use something like Turbotax or FreetaxUSA to file as married filing jointly and just put her income as 0? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Unless there are complicating factors that you don’t mention, it sounds like a 30 minute (max) job in FreeTax. Yes, MFJ with zero income for your spouse would be the way to go. Just put her ITIN in the spot that asks for her social security number.
You can use freetaxusa yes. You enter all income on appropriate forms, which in this case is only yours
you don’t put her income as 0 as you said. It is a joint filing she just has no income.
