I've done my own taxes for many years now and have never had this issue. I recently filed my taxes and it was accepted. getting around 2000, I didn't claim anything or withheld anything. I did get a credit of around 600 for paying a couple months of marketplace insurance.
I got a little antsy about filing my taxes and forgot about a job i had for a short amount of time, and they mailed it literally on the second of February. The income for the missed W2 was just under 2000.
What's the likelihood that the IRS accepts my return? I was really hoping I could get my refund and then just pay the IRS back for whatever I owed them. I also wouldn't mind them rejecting it and then having me file again. Any advice/info would be welcomed.
Forgot to include a W2 in tax filing

File an amended return in a couple weeks.
Wait until you get the refund and file an amended return. if it get rejected just correct the issue and refile. The deadline for w-2s this year was Feb 2nd, since January 31 was on the weekend.
Gotta amend. It will be flagged and you will get letter. Its mismatched
Have you run the numbers yet to determine if you’ll receive an additional refund, or if you will owe some tax?
