Ukraine crisis: Germany caught in NATO crossfire



Germany has found itself in a difficult position in the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

Nord Stream 2 is an oil pipeline that allows Russia to supply Berlin with oil.

It can also be switched off by Russia, giving Moscow power over Europe’s energy supply.

Germany has been criticised by Ukraine for offering Kyiv 5,000 helmets while other NATO countries supplied high tech armoury.
