Am i losing it thinking i get a 100% return on state taxes?
My details are that I am a full time resident of Florida. I work remotely from my home in FL as a programmer for a company based in Virginia. My pay had VA tax withheld, although my company fixed that in november so i'm no longer having VA taxes withheld. My 'tax professional" is saying I owe VA money
Please give me a Sanity Check on non-resident tax filing

you get no “return”, but you may get a “refund”
if you don’t perform services in VA, then you don’t owe taxes to VA, whether or not the employer withheld those taxes.
so file your Nonresident VA return, show no VA source wages, be prepared to provide documentation to VA that you never worked in the state, and you should get your refund.
