i just did my taxes for the first time i filed them for free and it was a super basic process. i’m 18 and i got my first job last year. i don’t have any loans or owe the government any money so i’m confused why i’m getting nothing back for my tax refund. i could be completely wrong because honestly i don’t really know what i’m doing but i thought the taxes they take out of my paycheck would be available for my return? also my boyfriend who worked the same job is getting a return so i’m just super confused 😵💫 can anyone explain to me why that would happen?? i’m just trying to learn how to be an adult🥲
