Every year I get a small refund from the state. It gets smaller and smaller with my pay increases, but this year (2025 filing) I owe almost $400! I feel like I did my taxes wrong. Did some bill go into effect that changed everything? I know we are now on a 3% tax and have abolished tiered taxes, but wasn't that suppose to help tax payers?

How much did you make in 2024, and how much was withheld for LA state income tax? Then look at the same for 2025. How much did you make, and how much was withheld?
