I have been TurboTax user for years. This sub made me curious so I tried FreeTaxUSA and loved it.
So easy and accurate.
In the process I realized how many questions TT asked you that aren’t needed. Think about it. The more complexity the process seems to have the more you will never ever think of not using tax software.
Also Intuit asks you right upfront if you want to share your tax info with them. They make it seem like it’s useful for you to share your tax info with Intuit. Reading the fine print, it’s just another scam from that company. They sell you TT and then they sell your info.
TLDR, don’t use TurboTax. Use FreetaxUSA or nothing. Just use the forms.
