I'm helping my dad do his taxes (he'srecently blind so can't do himself this year), we use TT desktop. He and my aunt sold their inherited stocks and split it 50/50. My aunt received a 1099-B for the sale and it appears her SSN is the one on the form. My aunt doesn't file taxes like regular Joe, she apparently files them every 3 years and just sent my dad a picture of the 1099-B. I'm at a loss on how to enter the info correctly. Some things say that we can just enter his portion for proceeds and move on, others say there's addition forms to file. I'm not sure what to enter, if I split the number of sold shares in addition to proceeds, etc. Please help
