Kick that can down the road! Stop collecting taxes because this is a short term problem, ya this is not going to be an issue a year from now….. Red states already have an over abundance of cash on hand for their people, and they could always ask the government for an additional handout if needed………

So will those red states also be pausing the extra registration fees due to not paying the gas tax on electric vehicles? Nope, republicans are ASS BACKWARDS.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp [signed a state House bill](https://dor.georgia.gov/2026-suspension-georgia-motor-fuel-taxes-faqs) into law March 20 that suspended the collection of motor fuel excise tax until May 19.
