Doesnt that mean that eventually people will start to seek safe haven in markets not controlled by a few dozens of billionaires?
Stock market manipulation was always talked about but now its in your face, completely public and shameless and it makes sense, not only are they controlling the government directly, now there's billionaires, if not trillionaires which allows a single individual to make major moves that affect the market.
Anyone who was played an MMO knows how easy it is to manipulate entire sectors of an economy if you are good at trading there and have amassed a ton of gold.
Which means you cant really trust a market that can be manipulated so easy and becomes a game of the ultra rich, therefore the next rational move is to search for markets who dont allow such a thing to happen, at least not on this scale and blatantly.
Or maybe new markets popping up with the focus of specifically not allowing such level of manipulation to take place by putting specific limits.
As manipulation by the ultra rich becomes more obvious, trust drops.

I’d argue that the time between ~1980-2020 is the outlier. Rich fucks, have always done, and will always do rich fuck things. Look into who “Jakob Fugger” was. That’s one of the more egregious examples, but not the only one
Define a market not controlled by billionaires, because I honestly can’t
Perhaps learn to recognize the patterns of manipulation and buy and sell a bit more strategically with a longer time horizon if you’re checking your P/L often. Not saying you have to become a day trader. For instance, buying quality assets at or slightly below their 200 weekly is a fairly straightforward strategy. Or if you have a longer time horizon have some faith in DCA, knowing that the market generally appreciates over time. Those new markets popping up might exist for a brief moment, but with them comes a lot of risk, poor liquidity, and a myriad of other factors that might not make them the best candidates for a safer return. Manipulation will always be there. You can’t change that in any market, but what you can change is how you capitalize on buying opportunities and recognize when to sell. Easier said than done, but the market gives countless opportunities each and every day despite the manipulation. Its up to you to master your emotions of fear, greed, etc.
No crying in the 🎰 sir
The US financial markets are not controlled by “a few dozens of billionaires”.
I can sympathize with your puts getting destroyed by the market, but no crying in the casino. Go and cry somewhere else
This has always been the case. It has gotten better since retail makes up a larger percentage of the stock market compared to 30, 40, 50 years ago.
