Originally I had the Capital One duo set up – Venture X and Savior. But later got off waitlist for Robinhood Gold to replace the Savor card for wider 3% categories.

    My estimated monthly cost:

    Dining – $500

    Groceries – $200

    Parking – $250

    Car Insurance – $180

I'm not a heavy traveler and mainly do 2-3 domestic trips a year to which also helps utilize the VX travel credits.

Is there a better 2 card set up? Or perhaps 1 card?

Is Venture X and Robinhood Gold card the best simple set up?

Having Venture X and Robinhood Gold is a bit of a redundant setup, because they are both catch all cards, with no outsized bonus categories. You usually see people take a stance, opinion, and make up their mind on whether they want predominately cash back or predominately points- which better suits their life, financial situation, and lifestyle. You obviously have not made up your mind whether cash back or travel points suits your life better.

Chase sapphire preferred bonuses dining 3x, parking 2x, and grocery delivery/ online grocery 3x. But not in-store groceries.
