Objectively, yes. Subjectively, this is one of the few cards that is worth keeping even if someone doesn’t spend too much money on it other than Marriott purchases. As such, it may be worthwhile to consider potential benefits to keeping it prior to cancelling.
CostcoCuisine on
It is worth the SUB but it is an excellent keeper card for us.
It is a money maker for us because:
1) The dining credit is worth $300
2) We use the anniversary night certificate for typically a $700-$800 upscale night a year
3) We like the early check-in and late check out
4) We get welcome gifts like snacks and bottles of water
5) We get better treatment because of status
6) Lounge access is a benefit we have enjoyed
7) Free breakfast at all of our stays really add up
If you do a combination of stays and breakfasts that equal $350 or more and use the dining credit the card is a moneymaker

Sure, if you can’t extract more value from the card annually than the annual fee
Sure why not
The SUB is usually worth it if you can hit spend requirement without forcing purchases, just make sure to use the free night cert before canceling
Yes
Yeah sure. But it seems like an easily justifiable keeper card to me.
Elite nights, automatic status, dining credit, free night, tsa/ge credit.

Of course, everyone has their own habits
