For those who don't know winco doesn't accept credit cards.
I saw a post testing buying gift cards and reloading through their website. I tried it out myself with the blue cash preferred and it works. I bought a gift card and loaded it with 5 bucks to test it and when everything posted it coded as 6% groceries.

no way 💀 this actually works?
This is my back-up if the PayPal debit won’t let me use my points on Amazon. Shopping at Winco keeps my groceries down – being able to double dip with a good credit (or debit) card is really handy!
Thanks for the DP. The Winco gift card workaround has been working with Amex Gold for a while. It does not look like any other banks code Winco gift cards as grocery, unfortunately
