Since the announced takeover from Amazon for GSAT came in today, do you think there is any chance Musk will counter with a higher bid?

Since GSAT owns licences for some broadband signal, Starlink can probably see huge synergies as they have arguably the best infractructure for them to diversify from satelite internet to satelite phone signal with fraction od the price the rumored IPO will net. And on top of that, Musk is not a Bezos fan and i would think he would be the first one to try to strongarm amazon to either pay more or hurt them (and benefit himself) by trying to go after GSAT himself. From Musk's standpoint this acquistions makes perfect sense

Pretty sure it’s the other way around. Bezos copying everything Elon is doing

    2. Apple has right of first refusal. Apple does not want to associate with Musk or Starlink. Apple had the right idea to collaborate with Globastar because they’re one of few companies with access to global and harmonized spectrum but they’re small, under-capitalized, don’t have access to launch. Amazon taking over addresses all these issues, especially capital and launch. A big win for Bezos. That Tortoise tweet on Feb 9 was the signal.

Elon realistically cant compete with amazon in terms of firepower. Amazon is a massive cash generating machine with well over 130 billion in operating cash flow, which allows them to offer very attractive deal terms.

Starlink, on the other hand, generates “only” 8b in EBIDT and is already burning it all in xAI
