I had a student loan payment due on the 13th this month. I anticipated this, and applied for another forbearance because I’m going back to into school next month and also changing jobs in the next month or so. Unfortunately, my forbearance requests didn’t go through yet and my payment is showing past due. I’m planning on calling MOHELA to see if I can get this taken off, but is my score gonna tank. I’ve never missed a payment and had credit cards and loans for 5 years. Credit score is a 730 on both, I’m begging the call tomorrow will help them remove it. I paid for it now using some of my savings money but it hasn’t scheduled yet either.
Will MOHELA grant this “missed payment” as on time?

If you requested the forbearance before the payment due date that will help your case. That said, late payments aren’t reported to credit bureaus until you have a 90 day+ late payment. You should still call them, but you have some time before it would impact your credit.
