Long story short there are two lanes going the same way, I’m going into the left lane and an uber eats biker courier is on the right lane. I drive past them and he makes a left lane turn immediately after I passed him right into the rear passenger door of my car. He insists that it’s my fault and he was saying he might be injured even though he was walking around totally fine for our 20 minute conversation. He didn’t fall on his head or anything he just fell on his butt on the floor, literally no scrapes or bruises. It was a very low impact collision.
Should I contact my insurance company immediately or wait until he files with my insurance? Hypothetically, if I contact my insurance to give them my story and he never files a claim with them will it still give me a ding? Police were called and he got sent off in an ambulance.
Its my first car accident so I have no idea what to do.

Always call your insurance company. Let them deal with the other person. Honestly, it’s soooo much harder for us if you don’t report it immediately.
Yes….call your insurance company ASAP because the ambulance chaser attorneys will soon be after you even if he wasn’t seriously injured.
