Been testing a lot of AI slide generators lately, and it got me thinking:
If AI can generate a full deck in seconds… what’s the actual role of PPT now?
Because let’s be honest — PPT was never really about slides.
It was about:
- structuring ideas
- telling a clear story
- aligning people in meetings
But most AI PPT tools today still focus on:
- templates
- visuals
- auto-formatting
Not actual thinking.
That’s why a lot of outputs feel “done” but not useful.
Tried Dokie AI recently, and it’s one of the few that leans more into structure first. Not perfect, but at least it tries to organize the narrative before polishing slides.
Which makes me feel like:
Maybe the future isn’t “better PPTs”
It’s:
- faster idea structuring
- clearer communication
- less time spent on formatting
PPT might just become the final format, not the main work anymore.
Curious what others think:
Are we moving beyond PPT as a tool, or just upgrading how we create it?
With all these AI PPT tools… does PPT still even matter?
