For those stuck in NY State Tax Processing limbo:

Timeline: (important or not to note that I am an out of state resident but lived in NY u til mid December 2025)

– submitted return on 1/31/2026

– approved on 2/5/26

– finished processing with pending DD on 4/6/26

– received DD for 4/17/26 on 4/15/26.

I have never encountered such lengthy processing time for state refund but if you’re in limbo, hang in there.
