Reuters (link in pic): Iran could consider allowing ships to sail freely through the Omani side of the Strait of Hormuz without risk of attack as part of proposals it has ‌offered in negotiations with the United States, providing a deal is clinched to prevent renewed conflict, a source briefed by Tehran said.

    1. Yeah, just agree to all of our demands and we will grant a few concessions. This is hardly newsworthy

“we wont attack merchant ships from countries we’re not at war with outside of our territorial waters” OK

I’m sure part of any agreement would be lifting sanctions. Which Iran really wants. They are signaling that this is now part of their calculation.

    4. All ships would then take the Oman side and the Iran blockade would be over. Come on people……this is nonsense, unless the Iranians are getting something big in return.

So would this be a temporary measure to let out the remaining ships that are currently trapped in the Gulf, or is this a permanent proposal?
