I know that A LOT of us have had issues with CRI. I was notified of a credit servicer change to CRI in October of 2025. When I logged on to CRI, I saw a forbearance period and that my loan was due 12/28/25. I logged on in December, and it showed that I was one month past due. I knew that was incorrect because I had a document stating that my loan was due 12/28. I paid the one month due that I knew I needed to pay. To my surprise, every payment that I had made since December was returned due to "my financial institution." The same financial institution that I used with Nelnet, that was transferred to my CRI account. I received no notification via any methods that I was overdue.
What are we doing about this? I made an attempt to dispute through TransUnion but the page ended in "temporarily unavailable" after I uploaded documents and disputes to all 14 of my student loan accounts. I have documents proving submission of payment that state it was returned. One for each month since I've been switched to CRI.
Anyone gotten anywhere with this? I've read multiple stories identical to mine. My credit dropped 167 points as a result. Not a single missed payment in 8 years; takes 90 days to flush down the drain. Without a single missed payment (or attempted payment, apparently) and without inability to pay.

damn that credit drop is brutal. cri has been screwing people over left and right with these “technical errors” that somehow always benefit them
i’d try disputing directly with the other bureaus too since transunion crapped out on you. also document everything – screenshots, payment confirmations, even phone call logs if you have them. these servicers bank on people giving up after first dispute fails
