My hypothesis is that the world is so afraid of the dollar losing world reserve currency and plunging into hyperinflation, pulling most other fiat currencies with it, that they are basically panic buying into assets. Gold, stocks, real estate. Any port in a storm. Buy something before your money becomes worthless, cause post-Covid inflation was just a tiny taste of what can happen.
