What’s the rationale of shooting them with small arms from speedboats? wouldn’t they just be sitting ducks for the US to attack? I don’t recall they did they during the actual war. Whats stopping them from firing an actual missile, as they did numerous times during the war? Have they lost those capabilities?

R/maritime showing some French tankers tried to get through & retreating, possibly they were fired upon as well – a few got through & will report if stopped by the us (at least that’s my understanding of the comments)
