i used to think that doing this was pretty common; but it seems not many people actually do this. anyway, it helps extend their use while still trying to get a new one at least, or you know, just so it won’t be a waste. you just have to do it in segments as well depending on how much you need. you’d be surprised how much is actually left sticking on the tube. have to ziplock or cover up the remains to keep it from drying up, though.

Seriously though. You loose so much product if you don’t. Especially the 18oz bottles with the harder plastic

    2. I do this too! People have laughed like wow that’s so extra, but it’s worth it imo to feel the satisfaction of using the product to the very last drop.

    3. I do a small perpetual snip on the edge of the top piece, which allows it to fit snugly over the bottom. It can serve as a lid so you don’t need a ziplock.

    4. Same here except I put a baggie over the end because it will dry out or you will get like a hardish film on the top. I just use a cheap sandwich baggie and just pop it over the top.

      I’ve done this for decades

Another hack I do as I go to the dollar tree and buy shower caps. Those work on plates and bowls and container containers that may be lost the lid for where you can’t put a lid on it, they work wonderfully. You can buy them in the store, but you get like one large and a bunch of small ones you never use.

I’ve never bought a chip clip because I buy cheap clothes bins, also at the dollar tree and I use them as chip clips. It’s essentially the same thing except I’m not paying for four dollars for two because it’s all cutsie. I don’t care about cute, I just care that my chips are clipped shut so they stay fresh
