A guy without insurance hit my car and totaled it.
No insurance from him = a complete loss for me.
Car was appraised at 13k but not much I can do other then cry honestly
Car was paid off. Lesson learned got full coverage on my new car. Shit person to not have insurance though.

You’re absolutely right, but sadly that’s 1 out of every 6 drivers on the road these days. Sorry for the loss of your car and the financial hit you had to take. That stinks.
This wasn’t my fault but it definitely feels like I’ve been paying for it everyday since it happened. I’m trying my hardest to not beat myself up over it.
It doesn’t mean you can’t sue the person.
Get uninsured motor vehicle coverage. It’s cheaper than collision but protects you in cases like these.
Yup, as I always say… you get insurance to protect yourself.
If everything were to go correctly, the other person would be issued a citation for no insurance. The court can then yank the person’s license until everything is paid back. That means every time they drive after that, they run the risk of getting more citations and their car towed. I mean, because they will still drive. If that is not done… well, it’s why people drive without insurance.
