I just got this card a couple of weeks ago solely for the 2% cashback and it is atrocious. The app UI is horrible, everything opens in a pop up window, it seems to be through another financial service (Elan) which is confusing, I got a physical letter saying that I was denied the card and then I got the actual physical card, I had to call them “to provide more information”, then I was approved, and I was sent the letter saying I was denied after I was already approved, you can’t even get app notifications for charged (just a text message? Wtf this is 2026), and I am out of the country and my card keeps getting declined here abroad for whatever reason for about half the transactions. Just called customer service and it was really bad.

Is this card even worth it? Are there any other decent no AF, no FTF, 2% cashback cards out there? Or even 1.75% or 1.5%, this card is so goddamn awful it isn’t even worth it for me at this point

Fidelity 2% cashback card is awful

Yikes that’s a mess 😂 I had similar experience with their system being all over the place – got like 3 different emails about same application status

For alternatives you might want to look at some of the bigger bank options, they usually have better apps and customer service. I think there’s few cards in that 1.5-2% range without annual fees that work way better internationally. The decline issues abroad are super annoying when you’re traveling 💀

Yeah, it’s a mess. Everyone recommends it. I have criticized it for being difficult to manage/glitchy, and I always get downvoted/pushed back on. It also doesn’t work with third party apps, which is annoying

I have a citi double cash too. I, like you, thought It’d be nice to have everything with fidelity. I 1000% prefer managing the Citi card. If I wanted pure 2% cash back, I’d go back to that.

Wells Fargo active cash (has FTF), or the Robinhood gold card (if you can get past the waitlist) are some other options.

It’s a terrible card. I make 160k a year with an 800 credit score and they refuse to give me more than $500 credit limit. Just got approved for the atmos card and they gave me a $20k limit.

    5. I usually accumulate about $350-$400 in rewards then convert into my Roth IRA. I used it overseas once but this was 2023; didn’t have an issues with it.
