This is not my current situation, but hypothetically I am curious.
A lot of people who just graduated college this year have struggled to find a job. Some as early as last year. Some as early as 2020 even. I hear a lot of horror stories of people being unemployed despite multiple attempts for many years post-COVID.
So, let's say you don't have a job, you have $0.00 funds at the bank and Federal Aid is knocking at your door asking for a minimum monthly payment. What do they do in response? They can't garnish wages that don't exist and extract money from an account that's $0.
What are people doing right now who have no money and are being demanded to repay?
So what does Federal Student Loan Aid do if you have no money in your bank account?
