In addition to Fuel Charges, Flight Cancellations, Route Cancellations there’s also Aircraft Retirement going on and as you can see Bankruptcy Concerns.

Comparing annual fuel expense to annual profit is very close to useless. Compare it to annual fuel expense.

Delta airlines laughing to the bank.

Anecdotally, I bought some tickets back in January while there was a sale. About two weeks into the war, I woke up to an email saying my flights were cancelled, and that they would try for a few days to rebook me, and then refund me if no flights were found. I tried to rebook through the link and got “sorry no flights available”. I called in immediately and the agent booked me again on the same day, which was weird because the website had no flights. Feels like the airline was trying to bump people off so they would rebook and cover the new fuel costs.

Bankrupt everything, buy it up cheaply. Just like what will happen to the farmers.

So… Airline tickets (and everything else.) will go up. Meaning money is now even more worthless.
This commensurately means stocks also ”go up”, because they’re worth more per dollar.
DOW hits an all time high, and Trump proclaims his handling of the economy is so good, we should forget the pedo island / war crimes?
Am I understanding the game correctly here?

This one confuses me because I know airlines have specialist teams who do nothing but hedge the price of fuel so that price changes, even dramatic ones, have little impact on them financially. I would have hoped it was more a risk to access than financials
